i fished with cajun made a year or two ago.

Great captain and great deckhand. Very good guys, definitely knew their crap, and they had good gear.

BUT upon actually meeting the owner (Chris Moran, i believe) he was an outright d*ckhead. We caught more tuna than you could shake a stick at, but i would personally NEVER recommend Cajun Made because of the way he acted.

Just my .02. If you want the whole story so you can make your own deductions about him,PM me.

I have fished with cajun made charters and captain chris moran many times and have always caught plenty of fish. Never once have I encountered any of his staff to b a D*ck

no, his staff was excellent. great captain, great deckhand, great boat, great gear, you get the picture. my problem was him. and i refuse to put money in the pocket of someone who showed that level of professionalism.

but i'm sure this will turn in to a major debate so like i said just my two cents and if cajundave,or anyone else, wants to hear the story i'll fill him/her. other than that, best of luck to your friends and i'm sure they'll have a good shot at loading the boat with many of the captains in the area.

Another one for Lance Walker here. He is a fun guy to fish with and always comes back with a TON of fish...more than anyone else I have seen fishing that area for sure. Here is his site: www.fishcommander.com

Also, I have fished with Cris Moran as well. I thought he was a class act and a pleasure to fish with...and he catches a lot of fish!

Go with one of the above 2 and you can't go wrong.

we stayed at the sportsman a couple of months ago and Chris Moran could not have been nicer. He helped us with some boat problems and sent us in the right direction to get it fixed...even gave us some directions and info that put us on fish...but everyone has their bad days. Chris is not running anymore boats is he?

I went with Cajun Made in July. I met Chris only briefly, but he seemed like a nice person. The 34' Venture is a machine! Underpowered, but a machine. Capt and deckhand did a fine job. We brought home 31 nice tuna.

Surprised to hear that about Chris Moran. He has always went out of his way to help us out with anything (and I've never even chartered him!). I was happy when he purchased the Kajun Sportsman. The prior management were running the place into the ground.

Don't underestimate the Cudaman! Jamie Gaspard is cool as heck and has one hell of a cat that he made him self no less!

I been knowing Chris and he is an outstanding fisherman that will go out his way helping others. Also,I know Jamie too which is another outstanding person. Now that Cat he built is one hell of a aminal. I had a good chance to over look it before he brought it down south. All I can say is "what a beast"!

dick head? why don't you read the whole f'ing post. i said he can catch fish. no doubt about it. just on my trip that was my impression of him. i never dogged his operation as a whole. just gave my opinion of HIM.

i have a story of my dealing with him. the one person that asked got a full story and he was welcome to form his own opinion. to everyone else, i gave my opinion. if you don't like it who gives a damn.
