Empire, La. in the Fall

I have caught trout in the summer in Empire, but never tried it in the fall. Whats the fishing like down there in November? I am new to trout fishing, more of a red fisherman usually. We usually just fish shrimp under popping cork and do good fishing on top of the Oyster flats. Is it the same type of fishing in the fall?
