no rip needed. chased schools of busting tuna all day monday. fished with capt kevin beach on the pale horse. we had 7 yellows, all 50lbs, by noon. capt billy wells released plenty and kept 4, with 1 a little over the 100lb mark. 85 degrees with no humidity and light winds. both billy and kevin commented its been a long time since they've seen perfect weather and such plentiful and willing fish.

Well the fish are there but we had some bad luck with breakoffs so we only boated some blackfin, thats fishing. Had two really good fish on at amirante, one got slack in the line and spit the hook, the other broke off. Bluewater is between cognac and amirante with cleen green water not far out of the pass. Had a nice Blue come within 30 feet of the boat but wasn't interested ion a popper or small hardtails, however she did hang around for about 30 seconds or so. Very cool. I think our bait may have been to small yesterday?

fish were hitting herring on monday. capt kevin spent almost 1.5 hours catching bait. it was time well spent. others had hardtail and caught, but it seemed much slower fishing for them. watch this video.
