i had heard at one point there was a group of nudist that would sometimes frequent horn island? who knows the truth though.

We used to run into the nudist every so often fishing the East side of Camille Cut. (so the West tip of East Ship Island). This was all prior to Katrina.

They are Naturists and they were still out there post Katrina. A park ranger was telling me about two years ago that there have been a lot of issues with them lately, so they are probably not going to be around for long. People that take the excursion boat like to explore the island and often find themselves running into nudists when they are walking with their kids. The island is so much smaller the nudists run into tourists a lot more often and it causes a lot more problems. I've never seen them, but I steer clear of the area. I don't want to ruin my image of nude beaches in Europe.

The southeast side of West Ship has been a fairly common nudist area for the past 10 years. I was out there about a month ago and encountered several. Historically it's mainly gays and the 50+ crowd. Get eye bleach if you insist on going.
