The tuna fishing has really caught fire this past week. I fished Tuesday through Friday with our largest yellowfin going #108 and we stopped tuna fishing early every day so we could go get some variety. The tuna have been jumping around and putting on quite a show. The preferred tuna method has been a live threadfin on a 7/0 Mustad ultra point circle hook tied to a ten foot leader of #80 Seaguar fluorocarbon. The amberjack and snapper remains very easy as well. We have also been catching some very large mangrove snapper lately with the biggest one going 12.75#.
