Default Which Gulf shores dry storage?

Got me about 3 weeks off and plan to put my boat down in gulf shores so I dont have to trailer it from Daphne everyday I plan to fish. I called Zekes,Sportsmans, and one other, cant remember the name, but all 3 seem to be about the same cost for just the 3 weeks. Whom do you prefer down there and why if you dont mind me askin. Thanks

I have been buying bait from Gulf Shores Yacht and Marina, they are 1 mile east of the Fort Morgan Ferry so it is a short hop out through the inlet.

Hope it helps.

I keep my boat at U own It, just off Canal Rd by the sports complex. Secure, covered, private with showers and lounge. Good place and good people. I like the fact that it is covered and each spot has its own storage room at rear for all tackle and the like. Don't have the number handy, but Troy Alvie is the onsite manager and a good guy.

You might want to contact Romar Marina in Orange Beach. Small marina but they have everything you will need. Speak to Gene (manager) 251-981-9771

if you are driving from Daphne, not that it would be any closer, you may want to try the new Barber Marina @ Wolf Bay. They marina is new & pretty empty so they may have some good rates.....or maybe thats why they are empty. It would be a longer run to the pass, but it doesnt take long. If they gave me a good rate I wouldnt mind the drive. http://www.barbermarina.com/Rates/ta...8/Default.aspx

Sportsman Marina like donzidog said.

My brother keeps his Sea Ray there and the location is awesome.

Thanks guys. Sportsmans was prolly the highest of the three. I was leaning toward either Zekes or Romar. Sportsmans wanted $15 a foot unlimited splashes or $12 a foot but 90 bucks a splash! Way high. I really liked GS out at fort morgan but its like an 90min drive. Oh well. Thanks for the input. Chris

I kept my fountain at zekes for two years, the first year not bad, second year they changed ownership or management or something and it went down. They had a cat in the boat shed who decided to call my boat home. Cat hair everywhere and claw marks in the seats!! Needless to say it is no longer there! My dads formula stays at sportmans and they are top notch, during busy season even have a golf cart to help carry stuff from car to boat. The cheapest option is what i did storing on a trailer behind J and M. No problems so far and saving 300 a month!!!
