Headed out around 4pm Friday afternoon and were met with calm seas and great weather...that all changed around 10pm, when the North wind started blowing at about 15kts. We ended up putting a hurtin on the Specks during the night and by about 2:30am we had our 150. Everybody got a little shut eye and by 4:30 we were headed South. After about a 40nm run we stopped and put our limit of solid Snapper in the boat in about a half hour. From their we headed another 20nm south and by this time the wind had calmed down nice....we then made quick work of our 6 AJ and put some nice Scamps in the boat along with a dozen or so Chicken Dolphin, a fat Blackfin, and one Cobe. Made it back Saturday afternoon with a box load of fish and a lot of work ahead of us for Sunday!

All of the trout are caught South of Marsh Island. We actually had 62 Trout at about midnight and all of a sudden the rig went dark, the generator had shut down. Sure enough I guess the guys in the living quarters got hot because they're A/C had went off on them, and here they come out with their flashlights and in no time had the generator back running and the rig was lit up again. Within about 15 mins or so the trout caught FIRE and in about an hour and a half we put our final 88 trout in the boat. Not too bad for a rough night...and not to mention the water was actually pretty dirty!

Yep. It doesn't take much wave action and wind for those shallow rigs to get dirty. Not to mention the river is high as hell and rising. Was thinking about going to EI 74(or that area) and spending the night in a week or two. How far from there can I get into some mangroves? Haven't been on a night trout trip yet this year. Might be better off over to the west though if we get some southwest winds to push that crappy water away. Nice pics, thanks.
