Default Check out Louisiana-Offshore.com

Read the hyperlinks on the homepage. Its brother site in Texas (Texas-Offshore.com) is awesome. This one is the same thing built for Louisiana run by Offshore fishing Native Louisianians. We are working with the best in the business to make it that way. Our wave/wind forecasting mod has a 93% accuracy rating and Supermap is just straight up insane. We are changing the game.....and oh yea, its free!

PS.

Later On,
Daniel

I've been using the reefcast on your website for a little while. It seems to be very accurate so far. I really like the ensemble, so you can see if all of the forcasting models are agreeing.

My only complaint is the free SST seems VERY slow once you start pulling up the waypoints. I've tried it on two computers, with the same results.

Ive been looking around on the site and it seems like it could be pretty informative but it does seem a bit slow as Jay said....otherwise...pretty cool!

Reefcast has been 99.9999% accurate in my book since I started using it in 2004 - h*ll, even the ssts, water color, & all of seaview data are right on every time I go!!

It can be slow at peak times. It is slow because servers are expensive! But the main reason the program is slow is because of the way the information is presented. It is a GIS based program much like google earth. To make a long story short when you roll your mouse over a location the program sends that location back to the server and then sends a response back to the user. This gives you an ACCURATE reading. Some other sites assign values to pixels, while this moves a bit faster it can be off by miles if you are traveling very far. For a better explanation read the article what makes supermap different. Once the site is up and running like the site in Texas and the site in North Carolina and we have some sponsors lined up we can then allocate money to fixing the speed, which is not that bad! Everything always follows the almighty dollar. Our plan is to not take the dollar from the user, and to let vendors etc. step up to help the offshore fishing community out. It is working great so far. Thanks for the input guys.

I am getting the same error message on the Alabama-Offshore site. The security code keeps getting rejected. I have tried all caps, all lower case, with spaces, without spaces.

That problem has been resolved. We got hit with an INSANE amount of spam that bogged down our servers. Problem resolved, hopefully for good. Thanks for the heads up.

Try at http://www.Florida-Offshore.com if you want --- the maps there will still show you AL data.

None.

The different state sites are all the same network (SST-Offshore)... the state "branch" sites of that network (florida-offshore, north carolina-offshore, etc) were created for "localized" reasons - like FL fishing reports on the FL site, LA fishing reports on a LA site, LA help on LA site, etc.

As far as the charts and maps, there is no difference. It's all the same.

Was that what you were asking?
