My mistake, he fishes Freeport. I can tell you that I went out on a charter boat from Port Aranasas and we went straight to an anchored shrimper and started slaying the mackerel.

I fish out of Port A. Going to be rough this weekend, 5 to 7's and 20 knot winds from the north. Yuk, when will it end? If you do go this weekend you should have the place to yourself.
Get a Hot Spot map and fish the rigs and bottom structure north or south of the jetties. Lots of spots within 20 miles. Let me know if you have any specific questions. I'll try to answer them as best I can.

Here's another good link. It's updated every two weeks.

Chuckchr,
Go to www.kingfishtackle.com ,and buy the Hiltons Lower Coast Map. It will have a ton of great spots with GPS number's, and it is in 3D. Hope everything works out for you down there.

WInds on Saturday 35MPH, Sun 25 to 30 mph, Monday 5MPH went out 25 miles and got into to some snapper (34) and got some black drum and one 35" redfish Tuesday.
Worth the trip.
Thanks for the website info.
