The New Seven Bridges Yacht Club Sarasota, FL

Hello,
I am new to the forums. St. Pete beach is my home port and I have 1995 Pursuit. I enjoy fishing with but I also LOVE to take trips. South Seas Plantation used to be a favorite of mine, but after the hurricanes rolled through in 04 it just wasn't the same. Recently I heard about a new yacht club opening near Sarasota. It is called the Seven Bridges Yacht Club and is supposed to be very nice. I am very excited by this prospect because it would mean a shorter trip for me. Has anyone else heard anything about it? I tried doing a google search but came up with very little. Thanks for your help.

Try posting on the Florida Sportsman in the west coast section.......I live in Sarasota and was a member of the Sarasota Yacht Club and I never heard of the one you are mentioning. The Sarasota Yacht is doing a big make over but I don't think they are changing the name.

Yeah, their website is not informative at all atm. But if you contact them they can send you a lot of info about their facility. Apparently its going to be huge and really nice. They didn't send me any pricing info, but from all that they offer I imagine this isn't going to be cheap.

Oh yah I forgot to mention they told me they have all this stuff: concierge & valet service, member’s lounge & business center, his-and-hers showers and changing rooms with private lockers, kids play-room, and reciprocal rights to other Vertical Yacht Clubs. The reciprocal rights part is cool because you are able to take your membership and stay at other clubs if you get the itch to go somewhere new on vaca. Their facility is also pretty big they have 249 wet slips and 290 dry storage bays. Hope that helped.

I wish I could get more information. Their web site is not helpful. Rather than make the information available on the site I have to give them my address so they can ship me info. Last time I checked this was 2009. I thought sending away for information died when the internet came into style.
