Default Wahoo and tuna east of the mississippi

We normally fish in the breton sound area for trout during the summer from shell beach but often run out for snapper, grouper, and what ever else likes to tug! We run to the horse shoe area alot and I know it was discussed a while back that some have saw schools of yellowfin and black fin there during the winter months. If all fails there are there areas within 15 miles that would be worth trying? Would we just be better off running to Venice spending the night and running to the lumps?
