NIce haul. I know it sucks when one gets away, but damn if that doesn't make you more pumped next time. Man I wish I could get on the water.

Good job Rob, my buddy Jason second captained on a 62 Viking out of Destin on Saturday . They did the Nipple, Double Nipple and Elbow and wore out the Dolphin then 15 knotted it to the RP for the morning bite and wore out the YFT and Who's. They had over a dozen YFT 3 went over 100 and more Who's. They had to leave because they didn't have anymore room in the fishboxes. It took 3 of them almost 4 hours to clean all the fish

I think I saw them at the RP... We left the RP at about 2:30 am! DEADDDDDD!!! NOTHJING!! The Horn had an awsome blackfin / small yellowfin bite! The big ones started biting just as it was getting light in the east and shut off as soon as it peaked! I cannot belive those guys did that well! That pretty damn good!!

Rob,

We found a nice grass line about 25 miles s east of RP. It was pretty close to the double nipple had daulphin and wahoo. We got to RP right after dark what boat were you guys in? There was a charter boat there and I think I saw another smaller boat that early. We found the fish pretty far out from the light ring. I will say the blackfin were very nice and fat and we actually had some yellows that were mistook for blacks. All the big tuna over 60lbs came on live flying fish. we had small hard tails and live cigar minnows and only had one taker on those lots of blacks ate the cigars. Once you got the FF about 150ft down it was BAM! We experienced the same slow domn at around 4am and we started cleaning up and left at daybreak didnt see any jumping.

One correction we were on a 64 Viking. One of the guys is emailing me the pics so I will have them posted soon.

We were just using hardtails! Good to know about the flyers though... How did you catch them, through hull lights and a dip net??
