Default Fourchon 7-4 & 7-5

Went fishing with my dad and godchild Brody. My brother Cody was also fishing in his boat.

Bought Brody a rodeo ticket and tried for the 27" and under redfish category. Fished the Bay Marchand rigs close to the beach. They are always loaded with redfish. Was able to catch a 26" red that weighed 6 pounds 12 ounces. Which just happens to be what Brody weighted when he was born! He was in first place until 10 minutes left when another young angler brought in a 7# redfish. Brody was still really happy and us for him.

Spent the friday night at the rocks with the light out for specks. Trout never turned on. Went out Saturday morning for snapper. Caught our 3 person limit of nice red snapper. A few big mangroves made the box as well. Stopped by a couple of weed piles and caught some chickens. I think this was Brody's favorite part. He loved casting for the dolphin. Quit fishing and ran in early to avoid the building showers. The weather was just great both days. Never rained on us and had slick seas.

Cody caught first place lemonfish for the rodeo. He also caught limits of red snapper and a some big mangroves.

Here are a few pics:
