Default Help on spinning outfit

I'm kinda new to the deepwater offshore fishing. Been snapper fishing for years but am starting to explore deepwater trips. I have a new 28'cc with twin f250s and fish out of Grand Isle/Fourchon. Im looking to find an all around spinning outfit that will be suitable for jigging for aj, grouper, etc and also be able to use on poppers for tuna. Don't won't to break the bank also. All help is appreciated.

Penn 8500 or 9500 spooled with 65 LB braid will give you an all around good rig to handle any of that. Reel is ~ $130 rod is whatever you want to spend.

A shimano spheros will get the job done as well. We have used them on aj's, blackfin, snapper, etc...and have held up just fine.

Dawia 8500 or 9500 top off with 300 yards of 65lb power pro.Reel cost under $120.Pick a rod that is at least 7' in a Heavy/Med class, rated for 5-12 oz baits.
