just wanted to spread the word about the JAM party in Lake Maurepas this weekend. It is just like the other lake bashes that are held there in the summer, except this one is earlier. It starts at 12:00pm and ends at 5:00pm. Has a barge with a live band and all. A great time. just thought i would pass the word. It is on the west shore of the lake.
no, it is on Saturday. Don't know if anyone lives very close to me, but i am launching at Williams Blvd. boat launch at 9:00am on Sat and making the run if anyone wants to make a 2 boat run.
thinking about launching at Peavine Road, on the way to manchac because of all the people at the launch at manchac and because of the wind. let me know if you want to meet up
was wondering about Ruddock, but don't know the depth and the way to Maurepas. Heard about Peavine Road from a friend. Went to check it out this past tuesday, and it looks to be a good launch. 5 miles closer to manchac pass than williams blvd on the gps. Going to watch the wind closely until friday night, then going to make a decision between Peavine and Williams. Peavine is right off of the old manchac highway when you get on it at LaPlace, it is about 2 or 3 miles up the road on the right. We should designate a channel on the vhs to try and meet up with everyone from the board.

The ramp at peavine is pretty nice, and usually not crowded. It does get pretty shallow exiting the canal and entering the lake at the end of the rocks, so just make sure you pass through carefully.
Yeah, Woody2185 is correct. Although it may not be that bad now that the Spillway is open. Peavine's ramp might be a good alternative. Manchac's going to get stupid for sure.
Whereyat Brent? You going? What about Keith? Give me a call.
guys, hello, new to the site. looking for local knowledge concerning the cost of docking a cuddy cabin weekender somewhere around the tickfaw, maurepas areas year round. trying to figure out an annual budget for keeping the boat docked here year round.
