When does grouper season officially open in federal water - The Hull Truth

Looking at the federal regs it says Closed season February 15—March 15
Which would mean to me open on March 16th at 12:01am

Anyone hear or read this differently? I hear some of the tackle shops are saying Saturday the 15th

There is no fine print that I found and I dont know how you could interpret it any other way ??

I emailed the Gulf Council for clarification and received this email. It looks like Saturday is a go.

Yeah I called also... They said saturday

They could really improve on the wording of the gulfcouncil reg.

Doesnt matter much from where Im standing anyway....15 to 20kts.
