Next weekend trip (Oct 12)

Looking at going to Ft Morgan to fish rigs on Oct 12, last chance I have this year for some snapper. Extended forcast looks like cold front to pass Tues. or Wed. Any tips ? We only go out 5 or 6 miles, boat not exactly new,
