whats the deal - The Hull Truth

Any of the Mobile, Al are other guys no what the story is on the 26 Negus with the lemon colored engine cowls just past Baileys headed to the island? I saw it this weekend and wanted to hear the full story.

Haven't heard anything. I think that I started seeing it when going to the island on weekends several months ago.

I heard that he painted the cowls that way because they were lemons and he was having problems with the dealer and evinrude about getting them fixed. Not sure who the dealer is I would not think it is Negus though, thats the only place in Mobile I take my boat.

That guy must be a nut-case, I have had dealings with many marine dealerships and if he is refering to Negus I would have to call BS on him. They are top notch and run a first class operation. When I buy another boat, they will be my only stop.

Yes this was the story I heard. I didn't see the dealer listed but I read where those where fichts. There used to be a story I found that was on pensacola fishing fourm or saltwater sportsman fourm that had this listed. SOmeone pointed me to it.

I've never seen one person looking at it either. Is the engines actually painted or is it the covers that are painted?
