Default Anyone seen any Tarpon running the beaches by Ft. Morgan?

We are thinking of going out along Ft. Morgon beach this weekend and trying our hand at some Tarpon fishing. Hopefully it wont rain all weekend!!

Anyone seen any?

It's been about 3 weeks or so. If you can find any bait balls around the second sand bar the tarpon are usually in there with the bonito, spanish, etc. The last one I saw was on the beach about 3 miles from the point of Fort Morgan back to the east. If I get out tomorrow I'll look around for you.

I didn't get out Friday and today the wind is kicking up the bay. If you wanted to try it today, the wind is out of the north so the gulf will be calm up close.
