I'm new to flounder gigging and i just got a little boat rigged up but im not sure where to go. does anybody on here do this? If so i was thinkin around the pirates cove area or near wolf bay but not sure. any help would be appreciated. thanks

If you are in fairhope you need not to go all the way over to wolf bay/pirates cove area, unless you just want to. I spent my youth floundering around Point Clear & sometimes near the Fairhope peir. Just wait till the tide & wind is right and the water is clear enough and go at it. From Zundels south just off the peirs was always real good. I never used a boat though,I have seen pleanty of folks use them, we always got the gas floundering light out tied the galvinized tub to our waste and waded through the water. Great times!!
