Me and my 16 year old son are planning a road trip from southern Maryland down to Biloxi/Pascagoula area in a few days. Planning on being in the area for a week and would like to get some fishing in if possible. Ms is my home state but due to military I haven't been back for many, many, years and don't have a clue as to what, where, or how to fish the coastal waters. Any advice for piers, surf, maybe boat rentals, etc would be very helpful. If any fishermen in the area would like to take an old retired Marine and his son out and show them what Gulf coast fishing is all about that would be fine also. Any help will be appreciated.
P.S. I have three boats to fish the Chesapeake Bay if you are ever up this way and would like to fish the Bay or any of it's tribs.

Where are you going to be staying? theres a few piers rebuilt around. send me a PM or EM when you get down I may know what's hapening where and be able to point you in a direction (maybe not the right one but a direction) I may not always find the fish but I can find the water and have fun. If you figure out where you want to fish I'll help you out. tell me what time you want to fish and I'll show an hour later because they were always biting like crazy about an hour before I got there

I work an odd schedule, but if I am off in the middle of the week, I'd be glad to take you and your son out. I'm retired Coast Guard, so we can have fun swapping sea stories. Keesler AFB offers boat rentals that are pretty reasonable. I am AD Air Force stationed here for the past 11 years, and love it. If I can make time you are more than welcome. Just like everyone else PM me and let me know.

Conundrum

Pascagoula here...I can't offer much advice on fishing as it's never been my thing - however; I'd be glad to help in anyway I can. I spend a lot of time on the islands off shore and have several friends who are avid fishermen. If you want to get into chartering a trip send me a PM, I can get you fixed up out of Biloxi.
