Default Lake Pont. to Venice run

My running buddy wants us to run done the MRGO, cross over at Babtise Coulette to get to Venice. Anyone know if there are any issues running Babtise Coulette? This will be my first run that way on my Garmin, it looks tight.

Thanks!
Tom

There are plenty of crew boats that are using that pass. I ran it after Katrina and didn't have any issues..... but that was with a bay boat.

No problems.Take the cut at the dope boat, that will save some time.Just idle thru there and wait till you get out about a 1/4 mile before getting down on it.Watch your sounder! If you need fuel, stop at Hopedale just before BS marina. There is a fuel dock that sells diesel cheaper then what you will find in Venice.

We ran in from Gulf Shores in a Pro Kat 28. It isn't marked too well, but had not problems. We ran out in the fog (on radar), and has about 5 redfish boats tagging along behind us like little ducklings...
