Bluffman2,I most likely will have room on board.Now its all up to work.I will know better after labor day.I will be having my wife on board,but she can handle herself as good as any man at sea.Hell,she cuts bait,but I still don't let her chop up the good fish.Tryed teaching her how to clean fish,but she can't even cut up a bird the same way two times in a row.

Who could blame me for not showing up at Grand Isle? With the crew that showed up, I thought I needed to be an AARP card carrying member.
Of course I'm just kidding. It'll be great to meet everyone. I've fished with Boomer(Don), JCC123(Jim), and Geaux001(Neil) in the past and I'm sure the rest of you planning on going are great guys too.
Let me know a head count of those staying in Venice as time gets closer and I'll try to get us hooked up with some ribs from Little Willies up this way, for those that are interested. They are fall off the bone good.

(in a very low whispered tone....) I will back in country by Oct. The 13th is my 46th B-day. I have been trying to make a THT get together for years now, and something always jams it up. That is why I am whispering - so that God, or the devil, or luck, or the fish, or the bait, or whatever it is that always intervenes will not hear me making plans.
Is this an overnighter, or a day trip, or a day trip then a drunken debauch at the hotel that night?
I'm getting the feeling this might just work out.

Come on down Big Al. I'm going down on Friday and leaving Sun. Might stay til Monday if the fish are biting good. I'm sure there will be some beverages consumed but we're usually pretty serious about the fishing. That's why I'm leaving my Dago buddy at home this trip. Fishing is an afterthought with him.
I work the same way. I don't drink when on the boat for a fishing trip. At all. Nor too much the evening before. It's the evening after that seems to trip me up.
