Anybody going to be down on Grand Isle for the GITR?I most likely will have some room on that thursday and friday to fish if anybody wants to join in.I will be staying at Monty's.
.
Paul,
We are staying at the Kajun Sportsman in Fourchon for the GITR. Will be there Thursday thru Sunday. Will try to travel to the shrimp boil at the tent on Thursday/Friday and the big party on Saturday night.
Will also be going on again this coming weekend from Fourchon.
Is this just for the local boys or are Florida boys welcomed and my other question what kind of fishing inshore or offshore ? The reason for the 2nd question is so that I know what boat to bring. We did the OBX get together and it was a blast. Here are some pictures. http://www.thehulltruth.com/forums/t...54316&posts=18
I'm sure you Florida boys are more than welcome.
Knowing the crew I have fished with before down there, and the fact that the dates are planned to coincide when the Mullet come out of the River, I'd be willing to bet that YFT are the main target

Anybody! That time of the year there is a mullet run.The big yellowfin tuna are close in and also its the last chance for a good Marlin before cold weather comes in.Now all bets off if the river is high for the later. If that happens,we might have fog on our hands.
so i guess that counts for the mississippi boys too??
Hey man EVERBODY is welcome! Got my cabin reserved at Venice Marina. I know there are places with better beds but I like leaving my boat in the water there and it's handy.

is there other places around there to stay......chit i can slee in da back of my pick em up
You've got Clara's up the road a little ways. That's where Jim {JCC123} likes to stay. # is 985-358-9124. I usually get a cabin and split it up. They will sleep 6.
The number I posted came off a card that Jim gave me. I think it's a cell #.
Jim said it's right there by his boat shed I think.
How many mullet do you think I can get in my livewell Gordo?
Sorry bluffman but I'm already full. I'd go ahead and reserve one and I don't think you'll have ant trouble filling it up. Matter of fact I think I've got a couple of buddies that will probably show that will need a place to crash. So you only need 3 more.
You know that. I need to list my boat and hope for a quick sale. If I can move it quick I'll be all over Greencanyons boat. Wish he wanted a smaller CC as a trade plus cash but I doubt that.
