Chris, next time try drifting those live croakers into the rig on the upcurrent side. when all else fails on the Mangroves this has proven to be deadly. Either hold the boat with the motors or anchor.

youngster in charge, huh...no wonder it was such a mess. tell him to put his beanie back on

gmack we ran west with a well full of croakers and frozen pogies for chum
rig hopped till we found the mangroves (at least one boat already on each rig, sometimes three...)
got em boiling behind us but they flat out would not bite, until we sized down to 25# leader, then broke off nine out of ten
welder put the only two mangroves plus one redfish in the box, i caught a decent sized lemon, and that was that...nothing else but junk
got exactly three bites on the bottom all day, nothing to show

hope it's better next time
When you say west do you mean the ST 30's? If so the Marsh Master guides hit those rigs real real hard. Done good there once.......rest of the time nada.

Did everyone here go to CHS? Geez! I stopped at the fourchon marina for fuel on friday and saw the cluster they had going on there.

Our report wasn't that great either. Headed out to Ewing bank and found a lot of green water that seemed to match my green crew pretty well. Boated one small wahoo and headed over to GC--

Hit up Genesis, Brutus, Bullwinkle only to boat two rather large bull dolphin at the latter. The YF were jumping everywhere but it was the middle of the day. A 34 Venture was also at Brutus chunking but I didnt see them put anything in the box. No es bueno! Gonna give it another shot this weekend, probably for swords though
