Default Best Wave Condition Source

I have been using the noaa water condition site, and while it's generally ok, I've found over the last year that they just seem to be off (either + or - ) more than not. Does anyone use a different site for this or is the accuracy just something to live with.

Thanks

I use all of the following and just compare notes
www.noaa.gov
www.weatherunderground.com
www.bouyweather.com
www.intellicast.com

bouyweather.com is most reliable to me right now, it gives you a 2 day forecast in 6 hour increments .

I use this one:

http://www.srh.noaa.gov/shmrn.php?mz=gmz555

For a while I was using on that went out a little further than this one and it really confused me, because they called for much higher seas than I was seeing. If you stay around or near the islands, this one is very accurate. But you have to watch it daily to see how it changes. Usually very accurate 24 hours before.

Here is my favorite. There was many times when NOAA was off and this one was dead on.

I have found that www.weatherunderground.com is very general.....and sometimes wayyyy off. If you know anything about the weather and have been fishing long enough, you can read the synopsis at the top of the page and it tells you all you need to know about the forecast. However, if you are not familiar with the weather patterns in relation to fishing go to the map at the bottom of the page, and go to the wave heights link....once there click animate map....and this is much easier to understand than the text that they give you, the darker the purple/pink the calmer it will be, just go to the time frame you are looking to fish and check it out, and it is accurate enough to go offshore on...I fish a lot and I trust it quite a bit. One other thing, www.bouyweather.com site is usually right on with the wind speeds but the wave heights are usually off from my experience.

Buoyweather has been my best source and seems to be dead on. I bought the subscription so I can make custom virtual buoys and get a forecast for a week ahead. Thats my $.02
