Default Outer La Rigs

What are the best rigs out of La leaving out of Veince. Looking at going the distance spending 2 to 3 days out. Any reports? We were thinking going out heading west hitting the outerrigs one after another. Any reccomendations with the better rigs to spend the night at?

All of the floaters are hit and miss. Go the the deep water rig page on rod and reel. Take your pick and head for one. Keep your radar on and look for others. Lots of new drilling. As to which to spend the night, it will not matter. No tie ups. Just stay at one where you have found tuna. Will be a great trip.

When you say no Tie ups. Can you not tie off to one of the crew boat bouys?

If you are lucky enough to find one without a crewboat. Before you tie, talk to the rig and find out if they have a boat comming in.

Many of the floaters have done away with their tie up bouys to discourage overnight stays. Years back Ram Powell use to have 3 bouys.... last time I was there before Katrina NONE. Horn Mountain never had any that I knew of.
