A much needed rain event! They don't have a clue when it comes to cane predictions. Never have and probably never will. The south could use a few of these right now.

Ditto! And from what I can tell, this should be the most hyped year yet. What is bad is that they disguise the hype, which is meant to keep people scared so they'll keep watching TV, as advice on how to be prepared. Those of us who live in the strike zone already know that there will be idiots who won't be prepared no matter what. Hurricane preparation can be summed up in a few words: bottled water, few days worth of snacks, fuel up, flashlights and candles, if strike is emminent buckled down or get out. The next one may be worse because so many people are wasting so much energy worrying about it, the won't have any left for when they need it, which is after landfall.
