Default Headed for Pensacola

I'll be running solo to Pensacola on June 6th and headed back around the 24th.

Would like to fish La. on the way home [ I'll have my Pacific 23 in tow ] poss. buddy out with cgrand if his time and the weather permits.

So there is room for 2 or 3 on my ride if we can do something .

les, what happend to she-farmer and the rest of the good time gang?

the fishing here has been good--weather permitting. at the very least, you should be able to fish the pass and buoys for kings. if the weather does cooperate, the snapper bite has been good, and quite a few grouper reports are coming in. deeper water, 20-30 miles from the pass. google 'the edge' and 'yellow gravel', for gps numbers on some of those spots. of course you ought to make a lap around the oriskany, the largest artifical reef in the world, and try to catch a big jack, wahoo or mahi.

give me a shout. we've got a big hurricane party on the 9th. you'd love it.

Well, should you get wander lust and need to hit salt water before then, take exit 17A off I-10 and head to Dauphin Island. It's only about a 30 to 40 minute ride from the interstate. Right now I have charters booked for 6/4, 9, 13, 15, 16 and 17. I am sure I'll pick up more, but, if I am not running, I'd be willing to xhow you around some fishy spots.

The Bud Light King Mackerel tourney is the weekend of June 23 and 24, even if you don't fish it you should go to Flounder's on Pensacola Beach for the weigh in for a good time. Here is a link to the site with more info on it. Have fun!
