does anyone know for sure when the season opens in the gulf, and is the limit the same and length the same as last year,, thanks

If nothing has been put out yet, I would "think" that the NMFS proposed interim rule will be in effect for 180 days as spelled out here:

Short and sweet, season remains unchanged, April 21 until Oct. 31. Two fish per person with no take allowed for captain and deckhands on charter trips.

Now, that being said, they may pop up and make an announcement any day, but, until that point, I am booking my charter trips with the thought that the NMFS proposed interim rule will be what we have for 2007.
