Default Slidell Boat Launches

I have not used any of the boat launches in Slidell since Katrina. Can anyone tell me which ones are most accessible, parking, etc.?

Rob,
The one at tites place is open, and although a long ride through no wake zones, the one behind Times Grill is very nice.

Thanks David. I was hoping Tites was back up and running. I will be out there on Sunday. It has been a long time since I fished that area. I've been doing more sailing than fishing in the past few years. I will let you know how we do. Good Luck to you on Saturday!

i have been out of the Rigolets - stay close to the slips - lots of flotsam near the bank.

"The Dock" at the end of Rats Nest Rd opened their backdown recently. Used it today and I recommend you go at high tide if you have anything more than 18" draft. The backdown at the Rigolets Marina is very nice and the way out has been clear everytime Ive used it (Day, Night, Whatever, no problems). The Dock is $5 and Rigolets $7(in and out).

I have never been to the Rigolets marina, can someone give me directions coming from I-12 west headed east?

Also how far of a run is it to Lake Borgne, is it easy or should I just go to BSM?

Thanks

take 1-10 to slidell at the 10-12 split
take the second exit...old spanish trail highyway 433, go left
follow 433 all the way till it ends at highway 90, go right an rigolets marina is directly across the street...right before the hwy 90 bridge

from the marina you can run out the rigolets into lake borgne, you can cut thru lake catherine and thru unknown pass into lake borgne, or you can run back into lake ponchartrain, thru the chef pass, and into lake borgne or the ICW

i always run out the rigolets & turn south, but if it's bumpy you can always turn into the ICW and take it all the way down to the chef
