For me it's more of a pain/safety issue. Two worst ones were on a 80s Tiara 31, between the forward vbirth and dining area there is even a little lower spot that must be made of reinforced concrete, walked right into it with the middle of my forehead. The other was on a boat where the arch/rod holders overlapped the steps of a walk around. Stepped up the step to walk around and hit the middle of my head dead on the round bottom of an aluminum welded on rod holder. If I do that when I'm not panicked & completely sober....who knows what could happen.
