Default Windy every weekend!

Not only have we had 25+ days in a row of below average temperatures on the south shore of Lake Erie, we have had sustained strong winds almost every weekend for the past 6 weeks. My boat didn't leave the dock the entire month of September and so far it hasn't left the dock in the month of October.

I'm getting so sick of this constant blowing that I'm probably going to pull the boat and just forget the rest of the season. I have been planning on going out fishing every weekend and every Saturday I find the same thing, big winds and big waves.

Has it been this way around the rest of the great lakes??

I feel your pain, it was like this all season on the west end of the lake for us. I pulled the trigger and got her back to the rack storage facility about 8 hours before that first big blow that emptied many marinas on the west end. I didn't see any point keeping her in the water with the weather patterns we had been dealt. Let's hope for better weather patterns next season

Lake Michigan was pretty-much the same all season. Strong winds, 3-5 footers all year. We had a couple of nice weeks, but overall a really tough time for everyone, fishermen and pleasure boaters alike. The only people smiling all the time in Ludington were the sailors.

Similar situation, for us on the western end of Lake Ontario. When I'm sitting at my desk, looking at the harbor web cam,it's as flat as glass.
After we make the long drive, and arrive at the lake it immediately goes to crap.
It seemed like we had the majority of days with 3-5's.I swear,I could get more time in,If I fished salt water. At least they,(the waves), are further apart
