Default Cleveland air show Labor Day Wkend

thinking of taking the kids to see the air show from the water but do not have any experience launching from any public ramps near Burke Lakefront.

Any suggestions as to which ramps would be best and possibly least crowded? Best time to get there before the crowds?

Anyone have any experiences to share or suggestions? Thanks.

Edgewater boat ramp would be the closest. It is a good ramp with ample parking but it will be CROWDED. Definitely the earlier the better.

Where are you trailering from?

Thanks for reply. I will be trailering from the west suburbs, 21 foot. Seems that in talking to others, the metropark ramps in Rocky river may be best bet as ?possibly less crowded?

Anybody know how close one can get to the jets flying overhead while in the water? Or do they block off the area making it a bit of a distance from the jets? thanks.

You could go to Rocky River metro park but in not knowing what kind of boat you had I figured it'd be best to leave RR metro park out of it.

It may be less crowded there..I would still get there VERY early as the weather is looking good. Although NE winds at 10-15 are forecast.

As far as how close you can get..the Coasties mark off an area to the west and to the east inside the breakwall. You can get within a mile but damn if it doesnt get crowded with a bunch of non-nautical folks by the time the Blues / Thunderbirds fly.

Have fun!
