We have all but given up with stacked rods on our downriggers. Actually, we rarely have all 3 riggers in the water at one time anymore.
I would not suggest running dipsies on different settings with more than one out each side. This takes practice and you don't want to spend your vacation practicing.
We have to constantly fight the urge to get all the lines in the water that we are permited. Sometimes less is better and the longer we go on L.O. the more I believe that stealth is the way to go. Stacked rods creates a lot of stuff in the water.
You may want to try a flat line to get the fifth line in the water. We have gone to 100% copper flatlines. But if you don't have a copper set up, maybe a lead core set up would work as well.
Do you have planer boards? If so, consider running some stuff of the boards, you can get a lot of lines out that way and your not interfering with your boat spread. If you don't have big boards, you can buy an inline board or two and run a lead core of this. You need to be carefull setting lines when you have boards and dipsies, but we can get deeper into this if it interests you.
Have you condisered a slider (aka "cheater")? This would be another way of getting another line in the water, but the break off rate is pretty high.
Remember, the last week of august the salmon with be staging big time, so you probably are going to be fishing a shallow water column, so if you stuff too much crap there, they may get line shy.
Tell us what boat your in (beam) and what port your fishing out of.
