I am trying to sell a close friends boat for his family. It's not really what you are looking for but you may be interested based on the price. It's a 1987 Sportcraft 27' w/ flybridge. Pictures and boat information in the "Boats for sale" section of the forum.
Ive seen this boat advertised. Thats a great looking boat.
I think that price is a little a high price on that particular boat even with all the gear (oh wait thats all additional). Retail price on that boat is probaly $27k wholesale about $16-18k. Brand new probaly get a same boat for around $65k with 10 year warrenty so I'd say at $54k without all the rod holders and downriggers its over priced by about $25,000 IMO. Gonna have a hard time finding a bank to finance that boat in this present day and age.
Post was made back in October...Maybe the seller has come down a little off their high horse...
Most of these in these years seem to range from about $19-$28k listed price with some room to negotiate. I saw an 03 sell two years ago for $27,500 that was spotless and professionally maintained with some nice fishing toys along with it...
Just trying to put the word out im looking for one of these boats.
Still looking? I have a 1999 272 with a custom tower and bimini-covered seating station up top; 454 FI with new manifolds, risers, and more; and a brand new Bravo III drive. Nothing but the best electronics and somewhere in the neighborhood of 24 rod holders . . . it's a fishing machine. Hate to let her go as she's been my partner in crime for ten years but we're moving and liquidating all of the 'toys'.
I'm in Annapolis, MD area and the boat sits out of the water in boatel nearby.
CB,
I'm sure you've already talked to the guys at Happy Days in Port Clinton, OH but in case not send a message to "Erie Skipper" on here. I think Happy Days sells more Sportcrafts than anyone in the country (by a large amount) and they would be in the best position to help you find a nice one.
Steve
I've been searching for the same or similar boat this year, either a Sportcraft or Baha.
This site is probably the best place to search for a boat and glad I found it. I tried posting on Craigslist during the course of the year, in Cleveland, Toledo and other large Lake Erie markets, with a heading of "Wanted Sportcraft or Baha" everytime I posted someone would immediately Flag the ad.
Can't understand why anyone would flag a "boat wanted ad".

Thanks for the input Steve; hope all is well in Huron
I found a boat. 2001 272 with Volvo 7.4L GI with under 300hours.
Good price, little use, ran flawless all last season. Cant wait for spring!
Happy days had one boat on brokerage when I found mine and the guy didnt want to budge on price so it just didnt happen with them. I have a friend though who wants their 251GLE though, they are just a bit over his budget though...

Look'n - I know from first hand experience that the Cleveland's Craig List (boats), has a serial flagger or flaggers. If you look at some of the ads, some people post some pretty graphic comments to the flagger. I have complained to Craigs List several times, but I have not gotten a response. It's a shame, some idiots ruin a good thing for everyone. I just sold a 1993 27' Baha on walleye.com. It costs a little, but it stays there until sold. Good Luck!
