Made the run up north on Tue. On the way to pick up my buddy truck did a loop-d-loop on some black ice. Pucker factor went way up. Rest of the ride was ok to about Cortland when we hit some more nasty weather , really lousy ride up.
But boy was it worth it for me anyway. I ended up with 5 fish in the net up to a beautiful 15 pound male. Lost 2 at the net.
My buddy on the other hand could not buy a fish. We switched holes at one piont and I hooked up where he was and he had no luck where I was. When we stitched back I had another one on within 5 minutes.
Had 10 hook-ups total with 2 being real screamers that I never slowed down.
A great trip, until we got half way home, had a wheel bearing go and almost lost a front tire. Got AAA to tow us(thank god for towing coverage) and 4 bills later got the truck back.
A very expensive trip, but as my wife said"At least you caught fish"
