Default Manitou Island

Has anyone visited or moored overnight in the Manitou Island area. Specifically on South Manitou in the refuge harbor. I have been looking for a secluded spot to hang out for a few days and am not sure how busy of an area this is.

Thanks

Manitou Islands are approx 20 miles off the coast on Lake Michigan just across from Traverse Bay. They are a part of the sleeping bear dunes.

South Manitou, Northern Lake Michigan, is wonderful. The last couple of times I was there the number of boats ranged from 5-10. The harbor is plenty big that even with 10 boats you can be far enough away to be "secluded".
