Went perching with my buddy John Beck this morning and fished from 7:00 A.M. till 12:30. We couldn't find the fish for 2 hours and caught our first perch around 9:00 A.M. but then we got into them in 55 FOW just South of Waukegan Harbor. The wind was out of the N/E first thing in the morning at 10-15 MPH with solid 3 footers, around 10 it started to calm down a little, anyways we caught 30 and had a great time. It was 42 degs. at 6:30 and 55 when we left around 2:30 after cleaning the fish.
All caught on 2 hook crappie rigs with 3 oz pencil sinkers and minnows. Just kept drifting the same areas.
