Re: E10 yet in Cleveland/ Catawba? Have you ever ran E-10 before? If you have, it shouldn't be an issue. I run E-10 about 70% of the time (filling up at the gas station). But when I fill on the lake, many of the marinas pump ethanol free fuel. Ethanol isn't required of off road or rec. vehicles in MN. I never run my tanks real low so I end up mixing the two fuels on a regular basis. I've been doing this for 10+ years with no issues.
I've heard that the bigger issue is when you first start using ethanol it tends to clog filters, carbs, etc. We've had ethanol for so long that unless you've owned your boat since it was new, it's hard to say when the first time the tank got filled with E-10.
I'm not trying to start the ethanol debate, I'm just saying we've had it here for years and the impact has been very minimal. |
