Default rodholder/downrigger track

My boat came from factory with traxtech track mounted on it. It's time to buy rodholders and bases, and I was wondering if any of the competing tracks are compatible with traxtech, and if so , are some better than others? I see bert's and tite-lok ansbig jons and others. All are pricey, are any better than others? Lexan or aluminum or stainless prefered? Thanks

I know all Bert's rod holders will work in Traxstech tracks and vice versa. I have Traxstech rod holders and they are fantastic but Bert's are very nice too, whatever you buy get metal holders if you're trolling for Salmon or Muskies, the lexan are fine for walleye but salmon can break them and your risk of losing expensive rods and reels go up.

I don't know if the others will fit in traxstech tracks but they are good holders, I know guys that use them and like them.

Mattie,
Cisco Fishing Systems built in Cleveland, OH makes a base that will fit in Traxtech / Bert's track. These rodholders are the most versatile on the market and are taking over the market on Lake Erie.

You can see their stuff at http://www.ciscofishingsystemsltd.com/page3.html

Send me a PM if you want to discuss the Cisco products.

Steve

Third vote for Cisco's. I run 12 of them on my boat.

Hello - Although I am a Traxtech dealer, my intention wasn't to spam. I just did a search on traxstech and responded. No harm intended. Sorry if my post offended anyone.

I have inquired about advertising on the site and am awaiting a response. Not only do I distribute Traxstech, Lectrotab & Waterbuoy, I invent, design and manufacture other marine products in addition to offering a Revolutionary Discount Yacht Brokerage Service.

I would prefer to wait to hear the advertising arrangement the site offers before I solicit anyone. I am not looking to be sneaky and make sales behind anyones back.
Thank you.
