Also this weekend is the Outdoorama at the Rock Financial Show place in Novi and the Flint Steelheaders show at Birch Run Expo Center. I need to get a break so bad I will have to hit all three

They should rename it the Outfitter/Guide Show. These show are primarily guides looking for customers. It would be nice to see more gear and gadgets for hunting & fishing. I guess the booth are too pricey.

Hi Newcat, you will have a great time this summer. We are based over in Northshore and had a great season last year. Depending upon your equipment, " Riggers etc.." I would suggest getting some Stinger STingray spoons. Seemed to be the most productive spoon size. Carmel Dolphin, Natural Born Killer were hot.

Our best setup was running two riggers and finding the water temp in 54 degrees for the kings. Run dipsys off each side with flasher fly set up. Moutain Dew spin doctor with a green crinkly fly was excellent.

Many times it may seem like combat fishing right off the pier heads in line with the other boats. We had good results going just outside of the parade and then working south to the flat areas off Port Sheldon.
What kind of boat and equipment will you be running. Do you have a temp and speed probe?

Look for us, hard to miss since we tend to draw a bit of attention. 66' Ocean Super sport " Knot Normal" listen on channel 68. The smaller boats usually will wonder what the hell I am doing out there. Just needed the room to hold the beer!!
