Default New boater in need of help

I just recently purchased my first boat. I found it on the internet. I purchased the boat but didn't think to ask if they had the title to it. As it turns out theres no title to the boat and they said they wasn't the original owner. I live in Ohio and i know you need to have your boat registered and you need a title for that. Is there anyway possible i could get a title for the boat still?

as long as you have a bill of sale you should be fine. in michigan they will accept a bill of sale. if ohio won;t then you may have a problem.

good luck,
jerry

Have you actually seen the boat or met the seller? Not to rain on your parade but there's been a lot of boat buying scams being run by supposed international sellers and buyers. I can't help you on the title but just wanted to give you a heads up if you're not already aware of the scams.

Did you actually purchase a boat sight unseen overseas? I hope you didn't send any funds.

You must be joking.
