I agree with most of the article, however I don't agree with Dave Mull's opinion on the salmon fishery. Sure during the spring Coho run, they are a quick limit catch but
once the fish move out very few have been coming back in.I don't find 15mi out a great situation. I have fished Lake Mich from the very beginning of the Salmon fishery and I don't think you can compare them. We move up the Lake from the bottom up the western side as the fish move and end up in Door Co for Kings. You didn't have to do that in the past.
Indiana with it's small shore line has only a couple of viable launch ramps and it hurts them.

Just before the fishing died out on Huron, it was easy fishing as well. Thats what scares me about Lake Michigan. Alot of kings are toothpicks compared to what they should be but since Lake Michigan's fishery was/is more healthy than what Lake Huron had, it would obviously take more time to see a decline.

Great Laker, I agree. Lake Michigan 2007 looked alot like Lake Huron 2003. But there was more bait this year than 2003 on Huron. I hope for the 5 fish limit and reduced stocking.
