BTW Mattie--You might want to consider a trip to Door County this summer. From about July 8th to August 30th is some of the best King fishing in the Lake.
Not far for you. If you want any particulars message me.

Not trying to promote our area, but the fishing around our island(upper tip of Door County)has always been good. The neat thing about the island is there is deep water close to shore so in most winds (besides west and northwest)you usually can get out of the waves. The southern parts ofDoor County you have to go several miles offshore into the lake. They do tend to get larger fish down there.

Fourd and Cousin Eddie have been up here. Not sure Fourd has fished around the island. Ido remember working on his ETEC during the short time he was here and him begging me to install a Yamaha...... jk!

DIPSY DIVER! the must have for the lake is a coupla of them thar dipsys. They will get you out and away from the noise of the boat. At times the fish just wont hit off the riggers.

Door county is on my list of places to go to, I don't think I've ever heard anyone say anything negative about the area. The diving is supposed to be very good there too. If not this year, then next. There are so many good places to go in the midwest and northern areas. We are really fortunate to be here. I think this forum has a lot of potential. I want to thank you all for the advice you have given to me, it is much appreciated

Andy
There is some great fishing up in that area. The size was down a bit this past year but the numbers were very good. If you happen to make it up to Washington Island, I highly recomend the Shipyard Island Marina.

Andy,

I called a few weeks ago and reserved a slip for the tourney so we'll see you again in July. Do you happen to know if Bill from SD with that big cat hull will be back this year?

I just joine the gl2 tournament site. Should be interesting and fun to have another source of tournaments. I hope they can pull it together and get some sponsors.
