about once a month or so one of our joint 6 kids has a sleep over and I end up just doing eggsandwhiches, bacon, pancakes or something typical over the stove

I want to do a big cast iron concoction on my ceramic grill. i dont mind getting up earlier

any ideas or suggestions?

You looking for different foods to cook, or how to cook the same thing on a cast iron grill?

I see cooking breakfast on the grill as a way to do it without making the house hot in the morning.

I would cook this though: http://biggreenegg.com/recipes/breakfast-fatty/

If you go over to BBQ Bretheren forums there is a bunch of info on same. It's the THT of the BBQ world!

We do a big ole breakfast casserole once in a while. potatoes or hashbrowns, bacon, eggs, sausage, and sausage gravy. All cooked in the pan together.

Breakfast burritos are usually fairly easy. Brown some uncased sausage, throw in some onions, and then pour the eggs in. Warm up tortillas on the grill and let them serve themselves. Condiments like cheese, salsa, and sour cream can be easily offered.

Frittata is a good idea but you would likely need a grill and a burner. One to saute the initial base (onions, bacon, veggies, etc) and the other to bake the pan in. It would be perfect camping food though.

You can try Hash browns, they look very tempting to me. Or sometimes, french toast.

I bake extra taters previous nite while doin dinner/steaks so the next day in morning I use a seasoned cast iron skillet (10in) do benidict florintine/side of hash or I bust out the seasoned cast iron Dutch oven (12) and make a fritadda hot dish which looks more like dennys skillet breakfast, pretty much everything you'd throw into a Denver omelet plus spinach and I use spiney lobster tail and or larger cut down seasoned sausage (not a breakfast sausage fan)

Either or both work on my Weber original kettle 18" charcoal grill, 3oz New Yorker goes well as an accompaniment on the plate...
