You must have good timing. Countless times I have been stuck behind that bridge for over an hour after fishing an entire day. In my experience it has been a lot longer than 20 minutes.

Anyone know off hand what kind of draft and height can make it through that way?

With bridge down a kayak or inflatable at most. Bridge up I have seen 100+ft boats make it west of 95. I95 is 55ft fixed bridge.

He means taking the Dania cut off out to the intracoastal. I've done it in various boats from 20' to 30' but never anything bigger so not quite sure beyond that.

Heh, yeah definitely meant the Dania route.

BTW I poked around on Navionics and it looks like the bridges that they had data for were all 9.5' down on the canal, and other than the area by the marinas up off the south fork, it's all 6+ feet deep.

You got the bridge at US 1 then Griffen road, then I -95 ,ravinwood road , all at maybe10 ft . Would not do it in anything higher. It also is rocky thru the pond apple swamp ,even though it's marked.

Yep. I think they put new markers there recently - haven't been thru there in a couple years.

I went through around Christmas. It is well marked but I am also told by local captains that the markers aren't exactly correct. I was showing 4' all the way through on an outgoing tide. There are plenty of bigger boats at the Dania Cut and 441 so there is a way to find deeper water.

The bridge at US1 is fun when the tide is moving. We call it the log flume.

So apparently there will be a hearing:
January 27th @ 9:45am
US Federal Courthouse (299 E Broward Blvd)
Courtroom 205F

The petition is for a TRO and preliminary injunction, with the plaintiffs being the shipyards up the river.
