Default Public ramp in Pompano Beach, FL??

I live on the west coast (Cape Coral). Many times I have dove from the cattle boats in Pompano. Now that I have a suitable dive boat, I would like to trailer over there for 2 or 3 days and do some diving. Any recommendations on a public ramp, preferably one where my truck has a chance of still being there when I get back? Boat is a 25' CC. Also, are there any reefs in the area with mooring buoys? I refuse to dive with my wife leaving nobody on the boat, unless we are hooked to a suitable mooring bouy. Just don't feel like trusting my life to an anchor.

Thanks in advance!

There is a very nice public ramp in Pompano. I believe the location is on NW 15th ST. As far as reefs with mooring bouys, I am not aware of any. As a general rule, most of the diving on our coast is drift diving. We tend to have enough current to make anchor dives a challenge. I am north of Pompano a bit, so more local knowledge would help you.

The Pompano ramp is called Alsdorf Park, at 2850 NE 14th St. The entrance is on the NW side of the ICW on 14th Street. It's a nice facility.

If you want to go out Hillsbourough Inlet, the best ramp is :
Alsdorf Park, at 2850 NE 14th St. Causeway, Pompano Beach. I think its $5 for parking.

If you want to use Port Everglades (probably the somewhat safer inlet for a visitor):
SE 15 Street. Ft Lauderdale. From the 17 St. Causeway take Cordova Rd. north, and SE 15 St. east. The ramps are on the south side just before the Marina. Pay for parking here also.

There are mooring bouys all up and down Broward County (somewhere around 100 of them). There are some sites listed here:
