Crabbing in Savannah? - The Hull Truth

Does anyone on here know of any good spots for crabbing? I have tried several spots with little result.

It is slow right now because the water temps are still in the 50's. When the temps get up to the 70's you will probably have better luck as the warm water disperses the bait molecules better and the crabs come a running.

Water is to cold as of now, but when temps warm to around the 70,s you should have no problem. You might have to ask the locals on Tybee Island ( for location of pier ), but you need to crab the mud flats across from the public fishing pier on Back River. They are really running in the summer months.

The crabs are deep in the sounds now. At least that's where the commercial guys have most of their traps. End of May should start getting pretty good.
