Is Kilkenney fish camp/marina below Hardwick or above? Are schools of bait fish available in the river in March/April for netting from a boat? Are there any shallow areas to worry about when going out into the Atlantic from the river or bay?

Not sure where hardwick is.

Good water out of kilkenny all the way to St Cats sound. Just follow the markers and you'll have no problems.
As far as bait in the rivers not yet. water is still too cold. In May the pogies normally start to show in good numbers and you can normally find them along the Beaches.
